Conversion trucks and vans are still a thing:
We got this in:
and it’s getting “Almond” leather with black stitching and embroidered logo.
This company also makes this thing:

I am genuinely surprised that those still exist.
I was under the impression that they were only bought by 80 year old men in Florida.

Man, those look heinous, but damn it if I don’t love a conversion van...
This is the first time I’ve even considered the concept of a conversion truck, however.

I'd never own one, but I love that these exist

Well, they used to be a bigger thing in the 90s.
The company that made that hideous thing to the left (complete with wood cupholders and wood panels with exposed screws) now makes the Reaper.

When I worked at a Ford dealership we had a company come in and try to get us to sign up to have a few trucks a month done up like this. Wheels, tire, lift kits, intake, and exhausts, flares, paint and vinyl packages, custom upholstery and sound systems. basically we’d get a stock truck in, then ship it out to them, get it back in a month, and charge an extra 10-15k for it. I can’t remember now what the company was called. But our area is too “small town” for that kind of stuff.

See, I always just thought these were horribly misguided people with a lot of enthusiasm for after market modifications.

Oh no, they’re basically pre-building bro dozers?!

What makes it a “conversion” truck? What’s it being converted in to? I get the vans, going from a work/passenger van to a living room/camper, but what do the trucks get?

Generally it’s some paint with body cladding/interior stuff. The old ones had a tendency to add wooden cupholders and all manner of other shit.

Pre-bro’d for all your bro needs.

I don’t get how that makes it a conversion truck though. It’s just some customizing/modifying. Nobody calls them conversion cars. Do they at least get a center console TV?

You get rid of the hyphen in that and it almost sounds like a legitimate company name. “Prebro Conversions”
